The Valley Patriot, more specifically, Tom Duggan, has taken it upon himself to besmirch Chief Petty Officer Edward Mitchell. If you are a resident of North Andover or Boxford, you may recognize his name and recall that he served as veterans' services director for 15 years. Edward Mitchell retired in 2015 after over a decade of altruistic work and aiding veterans in more ways than one. He returned to work last year to honor his late friend, John Ratka, in the Veterans Northeast Outreach Center of Haverhill. Mitchell's only goal is to serve others and advocate for veterans who need support. I am proud to call Edward Mitchell my uncle, and I admire all he has done to assist veterans who need someone on their side. Please take the time to sign this petition to stand behind Chief Petty Officer Edward Mitchell and give him your support.
