Almost Paradise is a TV series starring Christian Kane (Angel, Leverage, The Librarian) and aired on WGN America on March 30, 2020. 

It is about an ex-DEA agent who was forced into retirement in Cebu, Philippines and instead of forgetting about his work as an American agent, he end up helping the Philippine Police Department and was drawn back into the law enforcement again and again. 

Each episode tackles different issues inside and outside the department and sometimes tackles issues about Philippine politics.

Although the story is well written, it was officially announced that the show won't be renewed by WGN America for season 2.

I hope Netflix would pick up the show. It deserves an international audience that can easily access to the streaming service.
