Why this petition matters

Started by Erica Winter

Dear Pelham Manor Resident,

Many children cross Boston Post Road at the intersection of Esplanade in Pelham Manor to and from the Middle and High School. This is a very difficult intersection to cross due to the high traffic. There is no pedestrian signal at this intersection.

Sign this petition to join us in asking Senator Alessandra Biaggi and Mayor Jennifer Lapey for a 4-way stop pedestrian signal, "Don't Block the Box" signs, and better marked crosswalks at the intersection of Boston Post Road and Esplanade.

Pelham is a walking town. We should feel safe walking to school.

You can also help by expressing your opinion on the subject at the Village of Pelham Manor Trustee Meetings, which happen at 8:15 pm above the fire station on the second and fourth Monday of the month (6/10/19, 6/24/19, 7/8/19, 7/22/19, etc.).

Thank you for your help in improving our community.
