Why this petition matters

Started by Sean O Connor

Dear IRFU and Minister for Sport,

We write to you on behalf of all club and schools rugby players in Ireland seeking your support in our campaign to allow matches to begin again in January next year.

We feel that as rugby players we are being treated unfairly compared to the GAA by the government. We need you, as our representative to fight for our sport to get equal treatment.

For 6th year school players this will be our last chance to play school cup rugby after a six year build up. Our clubs stand to lose players at all levels mini, youth, junior, senior and mixed ability.

Without the grassroots Irish rugby has no future and we expect you to fight for our right to play like other sports.
