The purpose of this petition is to bring awareness to the clearly dismissive behavior of the U.S media and it’s political bodies toward presidential candidate Andrew Yang. We believe each and every candidate running for President should have an equally fair amount of Media presence.

It has come to the attention of many of Mr.Yang’s supporters that the Media, most especially MSNBC and CNN, has been intentionally giving less Media coverage on Candidate Yang’s campaign updates while also leaving him out of the National candidate poll ratings NUMEROUS times, not giving nearly as much talk-time as his running-mates during the Democratic Debates usually by less than half the amount of minutes, “mistakingly” making him the only candidate to experience multiple microphone mishaps which distracted from his talks in the New Hampshire Debate, and “mistakingly” replacing his profile image with that of another Asian male when displaying the Presidential Candidates on live TV. For these reasons, we believe the Media has a bias agenda which is to keep the ONE ethnic candidate out of the Media so that the American people do not consider him seriously and become only aware of the Top 4 running mates.

We believe that many American people are still not aware of Mr.Yang, his campaign, and his successful progress as the 6th rising running-mate is heavily due to the lack of Media coverage. Yang is a U.S born Taiwanese-American who has a VERY diverse support base and he absolutely qualifies for the Presidential seat and deserves to be on the debate stage just like the rest of the candidates without experiencing any gimmicks or another photo or microphone “mistake.” The candidates running for president must already work extremely hard to have a working team, to run their campaigns, to travel constantly and give speech after speech, they have to acquire major donations, and so on and so forth. Therefore, we are asking the Media and all political parties this - is it fair to put in all the hard work it takes to keep up with such a naturally competitive race, just to have the Media pre-determine your success for you by using the power they know they have, to choose what they want to cover from National news?

Please put your party preferences aside. The 2020 Presidential race, as we know it, is one of the most important ones in American history and these matters should not be taken lightly. Finally, if the media is not afraid of Candidate Yang’s success, and if they have no bias or racially malicious intent, then we, the people, are asking MSNBC, CBS News, CNN, ABC News, NBC, PBS News, CNBC, NYTimes, and other TV News and Newspaper platforms to give candidate Andrew Yang the Media coverage and representation he dutifully deserves as a fellow American and as a qualified Presidential candidate.
