Cal McNair,

We are petitioning for the immediate release of Bill O’ Brien.  He has demonstrated continual incompetence in all 3 areas of employment for which he is currently holding, or has held in the past.  As an offensive coordinator, he has never produced an offense that has finished above 13th in total offense.  As a head coach, he has never advanced beyond the Divisional Round of the playoffs. He has mismanaged games by means of play-calling, mishandling of timeouts, and general unawareness of game situations.  This all in spite of having a top tier quarterback and receiver.  As a general manager, he signed a inept quarterback to a lucrative contract without properly vetting or interviewing said quarterback.  He inexplicably began a season starting a lesser talented quarterback over Deshaun Watson.  He has been reckless in considering the future of this franchise.  Mr. O’ Brien has traded away two first round draft picks for a left tackle who led the NFL in penalties, gave up entirely too much to acquire a two down running back, and has been notorious for extending the contracts for players whose production is no longer worth the corresponding dollar value.  He traded away a top tier pass rusher for limited return.  He traded away possibly the best receiver in the NFL for limited return.  He has been disrespectful to fans, media, and colleagues.  This person should no longer in employment of the Texans franchise.  We as a fanbase deserve and demand better. His actions have been detrimental to the team and have been inconsiderate of fan desire to have a quality product to support.  If this petition is not honored all signees vow to no longer support this team.
