Local residents are constantly in fear due to the numerous incidents of speeding, overtaking and dangerous driving through Knowle and the entire stretch between Corilhead and Heddon Mill.  The Knowle Community Speedwatch team have been active since 2016 but this has not had lasting impact on driving behaviour.

“Living in Nethercott feels like a lottery every time I pull out of that junction as it’s impossible to judge if someone is going to come flying around the bend. Too many fatal accidents but not enough for the council to take note” JJ

“I live up the road from here, where the speed changes to 60. People drive like idiots through this stretch; making it so dangerous to pull out our drive or walk along the footpath with our buggy. Applied for speed change but refused as apparently 60 is appropriate!" LM

Use of the bust stop at Stoney Bridge is extremely hazardous as it is almost entirely obscured.  Overtaking is permitted along the full stretch between Knowle and Heddon Mill although the visibility is very poor.  There have been many horrific incidents on this stretch and many, many more near misses.  How many people need to lose their lives before action is taken?!
We are a wonderful and diverse community of all ages and we deserve to feel safe and supported by our local Government.

3. Improved signage
4. Solid white lines
5. Reduced speed limits
