Bungoma county budget making process lacks basic information for the public to participate meaningfully.The ongoing public participation on Medium Term Expenditure Framework and County Fiscal Strategy Paper, had no past narratives on reconciliation with past allocations, certainty of future expenditures  and projections.  Therefore the exercise had no information on context, history, objective and perspectives.

For effective engagement, the public has to get relevant, localized, accessible, reliable and accurate and consistent information on time.

I am requesting for feedback of public participation to identify what has worked and what has not. The county government  has to be accountable and responsible with public investments.
