Stop delivery sites from selling Chick Fil A
Stop delivery sites from selling Chick Fil A
Why this petition matters
Chick Fil A is and always will be a homophobic restaurant.
During the national pandemic millions of people have exchanged their usual method of eating out for eating in through delivery services. Allowing restaurants worldwide to stay open and continue to serve citizens safely.
This pride month the major delivery corporations have posted at least a meaningless post about pride. Those can be seen at the bottom. I propose a meaningful way for these sites to impact the LGBTQ+ community. Removing Chick fil A as a restaurant option and cutting off a large revenue stream at least until real change is made.
Boycotts and protests
Many people have boycotted the establishment, kiss ins, and protests have happened all around the nation but despite the efforts, the popular chain has barely suffered. People should continue to be vigilant in their boycotts but we need a new approach.
You may have seen recent news saying that Chick fil a has promised to stop donating to homophobic groups.
But Chick-fil-A has promised to cut ties with anti-LGBTQ charities before. In 2012, the Chicago-based Civil Rights Agenda issued a statement claiming that Chick-fil-A had promised to “no longer give to anti-gay organizations, such as Focus on the Family and the National Organization for marriage.” In 2017 Chick Fil A was reported for donating to anti-gay groups like the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, the Salvation Army, and the Paul Anderson Youth Home through its foundation.
