UCSD's Class of 2020, like graduates across the country, has experienced numerous challenges this year. In addition to a global pandemic and graduating into an economic depression amongst other challenges, the 2020 graduates of UCSD were given another barrier to their success: the ability to truly celebrate their graduations. 

Despite no longer having an in person graduation and being financially strained by the pandemic, multitudes of UCSD grads purchased graduation regalia from Jostens, the graduation regalia company UCSD contracted with. 

For many of us, the ability to wear our graduation regalia on our graduation day sitting in our living rooms on Zoom was something to look forward to. Despite it all, at least we could take graduation pictures on our big day and try to make the occasion in a different way. Essentially, we were trying to make the best of what we had. 

But for myself and many other UCSD graduates that will not be a reality On June 13th, 2020 because our graduation regalia will not arrive on the date Josten's advertised that it would. 

It is with great humility that I ask  you to sign and share this petition. We deserved better and Jostens and UCSD must take action.
