This petition is to call upon the UK parliament to award all key workers with a commendation for their continued efforts to protect the country during the Covid-19 / Corona Virus pandemic

Many key workers, not limited to, but including NHS, cleaners, supermarket and delivery staff are not only serving and protecting millions in the UK, they are often putting their own lives at risk in order to do so. 

Even many great wars have not seen such selfless and voluntary contributions to the nation, and many would be hard pressed to find a MBE or OBE who has taken such risks in their contribution to our United Kingdom. 

It is with great regret that thousands will die from the Corvid-19 outbreak, but without the continued efforts from our key workers, many, many thousands more would.

Whether a honorary knighthood, national list, or other commendation I feel that the UK parliament should recognise each and every of these key workers, who should go down in history just as our amazing veterans did in the many wars.
