Dolce Vita Homes is holding $7500 of our money and won't return it unless we sign a "release form" (which reads like a "gag order"). This money was never theirs: it is our money which Dolce Vita was holding to release to their landscaping contractor once landscaping was completed to an acceptable standard. (It wasn't.) In mediation, the landscaper agreed to redirect the funds to us. But Dolce Vita has not yet released our $7500 and it doesn't seem that they will unless we sue them, which will likely cost more than they owe us, plus we've already incurred thousands of dollars in legal fees as a result of this issue.

(We wouldn't sign their original release because it could have potentially limited our rights and available recourse should we have further issues with the property.)

The attached photo of an uneven patio with no base of gravel and sand is one of the many landscaping issues leading us to mediation with Dolce's landscaping contractor where the contractor agreed to have the funds redirected to us. I won't bore you here with more details but you can see them on my Google review of Dolce Vita Homes. Suffice it to say we would NOT recommend working with Dolce. Our experience has been incredibly frustrating and time-consuming and has cost us a great deal more money than we could have ever anticipated.

So now I'm turning to the public to help me encourage Dolce Vita Homes to return our funds without us having to resort to legal action.
