As Democrats, our goals are to keep our majorities and make both immediate and sustainable progress for the people. We cannot do that if democracy, itself, is at risk. We cannot do that without free and fair elections. We cannot do that with a Senate that is rendered useless.

The filibuster is no longer a useful tool. In its current form, it is a tool for minority rule - which was clearly not the intention of the Founders. The voices of the people must be empowered again.
