The purpose of this petition is to represent the concerns of Chatham County residents about Bold Development’s proposal to rezone the Williams Corner property to entirely Mixed Use Conditional District and build 540 apartments on a site that was previously approved for 40 town homes.

Bold Development Group’s Proposal is out of scale and proportion to the surrounding neighborhoods, pushes traffic toward existing neighborhoods, places a large high-density apartment development at the most dangerous intersection along 15-501, and is dependent on a highly questionable wastewater plan that would be required to push hundreds of thousands of gallons of waste water onto the Briar Chapel system.

We, the undersigned of this petition, DO NOT approve of the proposed plans and rezoning request submitted by Bold Development and respectfully ask that the Board of Commissioners deny the rezoning request and the proposal as it stands.
