Many dreamers IN SOUTH Africa and the world at large selected in the 2021 DIVERSITY VISA LOTTERY PROGRAMME are documentarily qualified and awaiting visa interviews but the kcc has not scheduled them yet.

The Dv program expires on the 30th of September 2021 and these dreamers may lose their once in a lifetime opportunity of immigrating to the United States of America. 

The KCC which is the legal custodian of the Diversity Visa program in the United States are not currently scheduling cases in South Africa, Accra Ghana and many other African Countries in Particular. 

In South Africa for instance, the US embassy in Johannesburg clearly responded to selectees who are documentarily qualified that they are currently interviewing immigrant visa cases and categorically added '' but not DV cases'' 

This seems to suggest that much seriousness is not attached to the DV program by the embassy thus excluding it. This is the same response received in other African US consolates. 

Previously the SA embassy like its counterparts used the covid geographical ban as a reason not to accept dv cases from the kcc but this excuse was dismissed  by the secretary of state and instructed the embassies to immidiately beginning prioritizing immigrant cases which of course includes DV cases. We the selectees in South Africa and Africa at large therefore petition to the US department of State, the US consolate in South Africa, the NVC and the KCC to kindly resolve this matter before it is too late for the dreamers. Thank you.
