Why this petition matters

Warrandyte Stand Up - No Outdoor Bar & Music Venues

Warrandyte is special, and it needs your help.

It is home to several nationally significant biosites which provide critical habitat for some of Australia's most iconic species - kangaroo, koala, wombat and echidna. It is also where some less well known, but threatened species live, like the brushed tailed phascogale.

Whether you live, work or visit - if you want to continue to enjoy Warrandyte as it is - you need to stand up today.

Application PLA19/0043 is apparently seeking to establish an outdoor bar and music venue for 400 people, operating 7 nights a week from 7am until 1am the following morning on the eastern border of the nationally significant Fourth Hill biosite.

If development takes over and the wildlife disappear, Warrandyte as we know it will be gone, and most likely the tourists and the economic benefits they bring to our community, could negatively impact residents and local businesses.

Send your message to Manningham Council that we do not want an outdoor bar and amplified music 7 nights a week in this environmentally sensitive area.

WE ASK MANNINGHAM COUNCIL TO REFUSE PLA19/0043
