Ich möchte im Namen aller Langfahrtsegler an die deutsche Regierung appellieren, dafür zu sorgen, dass es sichere Häfen in allen Ländern gibt. 

Viele, auch deutsche, Segler, sind von den Grenzschließungen völlig überrascht worden. Einige wurden nicht mehr hereingelassen und müssen nun auf teils unsicheren Ankerplätzen abwarten und hoffen dass sie kein Sturm überrascht. Aber viel schlimmer trifft es demnächst uns Karibik-Rückkehrer. Ende Mai beginnt die Hurricane Saison und es wäre gefährlich dort zu bleiben, zumal keine Versicherung im Fall eines Schadens greifen würde. Das Boot dort zu lassen ist also keine Option, zumal es eh keine Flüge mehr gibt und auf der Rückholliste des AA nicht einmal die karibischen Inseln aufgeführt sind.

Ich weiß von über 80 Booten, aus der ganzen Karibik, die sich derzeit in einer WhatsApp Gruppe versammeln und beratschlagen, wie sie es schaffen können, in Zeiten der Quarantäne, Proviant, Diesel und Wasser zu bunkern, um demnächst über den Atlantik aufzubrechen. Niemand weiß wo er dann anlanden kann, alle europäischen Grenzen sind zu. Zumal es derzeit unmöglich ist Crew einfliegen zu lassen, die Meisten werden also auf sich allein gestellt sein und zu zweit, teilweise sogar mit Kindern allein segeln müssen.

Warum gibt es keine Quarantäne Stege? Warum ist keine Versorgung von Wasser, Diesel und Proviant möglich? 

Es MUSS auf den Azoren, Madeira und den Kanaren Nothäfen geben, die im Fall einer Havarie das Havariekommando die Koordination der Rettungs- und Bergungskräfte übernimmt, dafür sind Häfen da!

On behalf of all long-distance sailors, I would like to appeal to the German government to ensure that there are safe havens in all countries.

Many, including German, sailors were completely surprised by the border closings. Some were no longer admitted and now have to wait for partially unsafe anchorages and hope that no storm will surprise them. But it will soon be much worse for us returning to the Caribbean. The hurricane season begins at the end of May and it would be dangerous to stay there, especially since no insurance would take effect in the event of damage. Leaving the boat there is therefore not an option, especially since there are no longer any flights and the Caribbean return list does not even list the Caribbean islands.

I know of over 80 boats from all over the Caribbean that are currently gathering in a WhatsApp group and are discussing how they can manage to bunker in times of quarantine, provisions, diesel and water in order to set off across the Atlantic soon. Nobody knows where to land, all European borders are closed. Especially since it is currently impossible to let the crew fly in, so most of them will be on their own and will have to sail alone in pairs, sometimes even with children.

Why are there no quarantine walkways? Why is it not possible to supply water, diesel and provisions?

There must be emergency harbors in the Azores, Madeira and the Canaries, which in the event of an accident, the emergency command takes over the coordination of the rescue and rescue workers, that's what ports are for!
