Bring Star Wars: Clone Wars (2003) to Disney+
Bring Star Wars: Clone Wars (2003) to Disney+
Why this petition matters
In 2003 George Lucas and Genndy Tartakovsky gave us the stunning show Star Wars: Clone Wars. Then, just 3 years later, George Lucas would completely dissavow that wonderful series. Since then it has been completely disowned by Lucas and Disney. If you sign this petition we can tell Disney that, even if the show is no longer canon, it still deserves to be on Disney+, and once more released on disk!
Even Genndy Tartakovsky was hurt when George Lucas chose to abandon his show. He stated "It’s frustrating that they tried to erase it from being canon,” explained Tartakovsky. “At first, it was canon. And then once George [Lucas] started doing the CG version, he wanted to clean the slate. And so they de-canonized ours". Even if Star Wars: Clone Wars never gets returned to canon, I'm sure it would mean the world to him, and to me, for Disney to add it to the Disney+ catalogue and introduce it to a whole new generation of fans.
I want my children to have the same experience that I had watching this show. I want to sit with them and watch Genndy Tartakovsky's beautiful animation and amazing storytelling of the Star Wars saga. I want others to be able to discover this series as easily as they can all of the other brilliant Star Wars properties.
