Sign this petition to let the city council know you would like them to respect your rights as a citizen and stop their overreach.

This petition encourages the city council not to adopt ANY NEW Covid restrictions and to stop extending current restrictions. 

Several other SD city councils have ended their COVID restrictions. Other SD city governments are allowing large events including the State Fair and Sturgis Rally. The South Dakota Governor has received national praise and attention for “trusting South Dakotans to make the right decisions” yet the policies from the Brookings City Council do not show trust in citizens.

Update! The restrictions in resolution 20-019 are as follows:

-Masks required at City-sanctioned events

-Masks required when inside businesses and public areas with the entire City of Brookings
