Being a loyal and passionate Islanders fan since 1972 I want to make you aware of the importance of keeping our Islanders here on Long Island. We have a great opportunity to build a new state of the art arena at Belmont park.
 
Building this arena will not only keep our Islanders at home but create jobs and benefits for Long Islanders. This new arena would give back to the community in more ways than you can imagine through providing millions for Elmont schools and Nassau County, an upgrade to Elmont Park, and space for non-profits.
 
There has been organization against the arena from a small, vocal minority. Please sign this petition to generate support in building this new arena and to show that New Yorkers want to build a home for the Islanders we can all be proud of. Let’s give the future generations of fans, players and coaches the forever home they deserve.
