September is Histiocytosis Awareness Month!

Every September, the Histio Community, a rare community of patients, families, friends and physicians bound by the collective fight against histiocytic disorders - joins together to raise awareness for histiocytosis. We need your help!

Whether you’re a Warrior, family member, or friend – histiocytic disorders impact every patient and family differently and it’s time the world knows about histiocytic disorders! Will you join us in raising awareness of histiocytic disorders by informing your friends and the public about histiocytosis?

Patients and their families are encouraged to share their story through our #IKnowHistio campaign and raise awareness about histiocytic disorders in their local community. Together, we can educate people around the world about histiocytosis and the devastating impact that histiocytic disorders have on patients and families.

Take action. There are limitless opportunities to make a difference in the lives of patients with histiocytic disorders - join us in signing our pledge to raise awareness all throughout September and beyond! 

Until the vision of a world free of histiocytic disorders is realized, the Histiocytosis Association will continue to stand directly beside the patients, families, physicians, scientists, volunteers and friends who fight the battle against histiocytic disorders every day.

*Histiocytosis, also referred to as Histiocytic disorders, is a group of diseases that occur when there is an over-production of white blood cells known as histiocytes that can lead to organ damage and tumor formation. This group is made up of a wide variety of conditions that can affect both children and adults. The Histiocytosis Association is dedicated to raising awareness about histiocytic disorders, providing educational and emotional support, and funding research leading to better treatments and a cure.
