These beautiful trees have been part of the landscape for many years - we cannot imagine them not being here, the whole outlook will be changed forever and for many. The amazing blossom view will be replaced by a wall of bricks.

When the original plans for the pocket flats were presented, the tree on the corner appeared to feature on the brochure. We feel we have been duped and there was no intention of leaving the trees as space equals money.

Please sign our petition to save our precious trees. They not only provide protection against pollution and road noise, but they're also a canopy of calm in an ever-growing concrete jungle. Children and adults alike gain so much pleasure from picking cherries in the summer and collecting conkers in the autumn, simple pleasures that must not be lost.
