Public Attorney's Office (PAO) chief, Atty. Persida Rueda - Acosta, most kindly help us rescue and repatriate to the Philippines JOAN ESTRADA FERNANDEZ, a five (5) - year captive/ hostage slave overseas Filipino worker (OFW)!

PAO chief Acosta, you are our last refuge!

We already sought the assistance of supposedly "concerned" agencies of Philippine government but to no avail.

Sadly, our pleas just fell on deaf ears!

Our communication which reports and requests for immediate rescue of Joan was unacted.

It was not even "acknowledged" by personnel of these said supposedly "responsible" offices.

As a backgrounder, JOAN ESTRADA FERNANDEZ is a colleague or a fellow household service worker (HSW) of OFW DAPHNIE ABRANTES MARTINEZ (the OFW victim of human trafficking who was last January 22 was already repatriated back home to the Philippines)

More than half a decade ago or to be exact, on November 2014, JOAN left the Philippines through DAMDAM MANPOWER SERVICES INC. (the local recruitment agency) and ADEL MANPOWER RECRUITMENT OFFICE [the foreign recruitment agency which is located at Abha beside Civil Defense in King Fahad Street, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA)] the representative of which is AZADIN AHMED ASIRI.

JOAN (as a fellow HSW in the same household where DAPHNIE ABRANTES MARTINEZ previously worked) had been more than five (5) - year held "captive," kept "hostage" and treated as a "slave" by her own employer and four (4) other large families which she all serves as a "slave."

This time around, we again also most deeply ask PAO chief Acosta's compassionate heart to most kindly also help us rescue and repatriate to the Philippines JOAN ESTRADA FERNANDEZ.

Though Joan's employer is ABDULLAH MOHAMMED MOIED ALOAHTANI whose address is Al Sharrah Al Aiam Street, Hai Al Al Khaldiaa, Kuamis Mushayt, she had been reportedly performing the duties and responsibilities of an all-around HSW to FOUR (4) OTHER TOO HUGE FAMILIES with allegedly measly overdelayed salary, without rest in a daily basis, she lacks sleep all throughout her stint in the said household, eats only leftover food most of the time, no day off or rest day each week on the entire duration of her stay in this said abode (and when sick, she never was brought to the hospital for medical treatment!)

The big families of her employer and kins who reportedly had harshly treated Joan as a mere slave are the following:

(1) ABDULLAH MUMMAMED MOIED ALOATHANI, his wife MADYA and their only child, Acell;

(2) WALED MUHAMMAD MOIED
ALQATHANI, his wife ASHA and their six (6) sons and daughters namely ABDULLAH, SHUMOK, MUHAMMAD, SAAD, ALLAH and MAJETS;

(3) MOIED MUHAMMAD MOIED ALQATHANI, his wife KIRIYA and their four (4) sons/ daughters MUHAMMAD, KHAFRA, ADHER and SAAD;

(4) TURKEY MUHAMMAD MOIED Al, his FIRST Turkey wife MENIRA and their eight (8) sons and daughters namely PAGENT, MUHAMMAD, ALI, KNOF, REMA, HADEL, MURA and HUMOR; and

(5) MUHAMMAD MOIED Al's SECOND Turkey wife KHULOD and their three (3) children namely WALLED, SATTAM and SAGER.

Thus, we again most ardently and urgently calling the attention of Philippine Ambassador to Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) Adnan V. Friday, 24 January 2020 - "Ok lng po ako dito Sir pumunta dito kagabe si sir Abdilla sabe po nia ok na daw lhat ng documents ko. Sabe nia balik daw sya after two hours para bumili kame ng tickets, hinde nman po bumalik Sir."

"Paulit-ulit na nagsumbong na po ako at nalalaman nina Ma'am Shayne Reyes at Sir Mustafa Yasien ngunit pinabayaan nila ako, hindi nila ako tinutulungan."

"Ako po ay hindi pinapakain ng maayos at pinapatulog sa tamang oras. Ako rin po ay tinatakot ng employer ko na mgbabayad at ipapapulis kapag bumalik ako sa agency. Kapag umaalis ng bahay ang employer ko, inila - lock po nila ang gate at pintuan para hindi raw po ako makatakas na hindi ko naman po gagawin. Binabastos rin po ako ng pamangkin ng employer ko. At gusto akong saksakin ng isang pamangkin pa ng employer ko dahil lang po sa hindi ako nakatugon sa kanyang pagtawag sa akin dahil ako po ay nasa kusina at umiinom ng tubig dahil sa sobrang pagod ko at dahil doon, tinangka po niya akong saksakin dahil sa matinding galit at inis niya sa akin."

"Tulungan po ninyo ako."

In detail, she narrated how she was repeatedly sexually harassed and assaulted by the habitually masturbating "exhibitionist" nephew of her own employer while the other nephew of the same employer hugely angrily attacked her with a knife from behind which anger was allegedly provoked because she unintentionally did not hear the instruction given to her by him as she, out of overexhaution was then in a distance and about to drink water in the kitchen.

For or if without the intervention and help of her fellow domestic helper, she surely would be wounded and possibly killed by the said nephew of her said employer.

"Sa tuwing nasa kusina ako sa taas, pupunta sa comfort room doon si Abdulazis Ahlas, ang pamangkin ng employer ko, may edad 18 to 19 years old. Papasok siya sa C.R. at lalabas nang nakahubo't hubad at lalapit sa akin na nagkukunwaring may ipapakuha. Nangyari po 'yan noong tanghali at gabi noong December 15, 2019. Nasundan o naulit pa po 'yan noong December 16, 2019 kung kailan nagma - masturbate po siya sa mismong dinadaanan ko papuntang kusina. Ginagawa niya ang pagma-masturbate kapag natutulog na ang mga tao dito. Aakyat po siya sa kusina para gawin po 'yun. Bago pa nangyari ang ginawa niyang kabastusan sa nasabing petsa, sinilipan niya ako sa bathroom habang naliligo po ako. Natatakot po ako sa kanya dahil sa loob ng isang araw, dalawang beses niyang ginagawa ang pagma-masturbate na sinasadya niyang gawin kung saan may niluluto ako o naghuhugas ng mga plato't pinggan sa kusina."

As she revealed her ordeal, she also exposed her other harrowing experiences such as the following:

"Dumating po ako dito sa Saudi December 5,2019. Pag dating ko po ng Abha Airport, sinundo po ako ng lalaki na nagwowork daw po sa agency ko dito sa Saudi sa Home Comfort po. Dinala nya po ako sa bahay nila, nagstay po ako duon ng 4 to 5 days, pinagtrabaho po nila ako na walang bayad, December 9,2019 po ng gabi may sumundo po sa akin, akala ko po 'yung employer ko na po pero hindi po pala. Ibinigay po ako kay Saeed Abdullah Saeed Al Qahtani,pinagtrabaho din po ako duon ng 2 to 3 days. After po noon December 11, 2019 po ng gabi 10pm, sinundo na po ako ng employer ko. Tagal bago nya po ako kinuha pinagpasapasahan po ako dito para po matrabaho na wala nman pong bayad. Tinatawagan po sya ng agency ko na kunin na ako pero sabi nya nasa America sya. Ppero hindi po pala, nasa Saudi lang po sya, hindi nya ako makuha noong pagdating ko kasi hindi pa pala nya bayad lahat 'yong agency ko. Nagsinungaling po sya kasi wala siyang pera at that time, nalaman ko po 'yan sa maid ng kapatid ng employer ko."

"After po ako sinundo ng employer ko noong gabi na 'yon, dinala po nya ako sa bahay ng mama nya na maysakit, ako po pala ang mag-aalaga ng mama nya na hindi ko naman po kayang gawin, unang linggo ko pa lang po dito sa bahay ng mama nya, nahirapan na po ko, laging galit, pinagbubuhat ng mabibigat, kulang sa pagkain hanggang ngaun nga po hindi man lang ako mabilhan ng mga personal na pangangailangan ko, kahit wifi po wala. Nakiki-connect lang po ako sa kabilang bahay duon po sa katulong nla na hindi po alam ng mga amo ko kaya patago po ako gumamit ng cellphone. Unang linggo ko rin po dito, pinakikitaan na po ako ng hindi maganda ng pamilya ng employer ko mga kapatid nya mga pamangkin nya. Ilang beses ko rin po naranasan na pakitaan ako ng hindi maganda ng pamangkin ng employer ko c Abdulazis Ahlas sa tuwing nasa kusina po ako papasok po sya ng comfort room at lalabas ng nakahubo't-hubad at lalapit sa akin. Nahuli ko rin po sya na sinisilipan ako habang naliligo. Pinaalis ko po sya at umalis nman po tinakot ko na magsusumbong ako sa mama nya. At ngaun po December 27, 2019 muntik na akong masaksak ng pamangkin ng employer ko c Ali Ahlas po name nya, tinatawag po nya ako at ng hindi po ako napunta agad sinundan po nya ako sa kusina at hinila ang damit ko habang umiinom po ako, hinayaan ko lang po 'yun pero nagulat po ako ng kumuha sya ng kutsilyo at isasaksak sana sa akin pero sumigaw po ung katulong ng kapatid ng amo ko kc andto po sya ngaun. Tumakbo po ako sa mama ng amo ko sa baba pra magsumbong pero pinagalitan lang kami pareho ng katulong ng kapatid ng amo ko. Mas kinampihan po nila ung anak at apo nila."

"Tulungan nyo po ako makaalis sa pamilya na eto. Habang tumatagal po ako dito, nag-iiba po mga ugali nla. Kung patulugin nila ako, umaga na 3 am or 5 am tapos gigisingin po ako ng 7cam araw - araw po ganito kaya bumabagsak na po katawan ko, nahihilo ako sa gutom at puyat. Isang beses lang din po nila akong pakainin. Tulungan nyo po ako. May mga anak po akong maliliit na umaasa sa akin."

When herein Petitioner asked OFW
DAPHNIE ABRANTES MARTINEZ if she was legally recruited and deployed by her local recruitment agency, she replied,"LEGAL NAMAN PO."

Clarified if indeed she had been working in the household of a particular employer specifically named in her contract of employment, she answered, "HINDI PO AKO NAGTATRABAHO SA EMPLOYER KO. IBINIGAY PO AKO SA NANAY NIYA."

Further clarified, if she had NOT been working in her supposed employer, where now is she of which she responded, "HINDI PO AKO NAKATIRA SA ADDRESS NA NASA KONTRATA KO."

Categorically asked if she resides in the address which is there clearly stipulated in her employment contract, she revealed, "HINDI KO RIN PO ALAM ANG ADDRESS DITO SA BAHAY NG NANAY NG EMPLOYER KO."

Disgustingly, when questioned what are her tasks and duties in the residence of the mother of her supposedly "original" employer, she told herein Petitioner this hell: "LAHAT PO NG TRABAHO KO DITO, GINAGAMPANAN KO - TAGALUTO (COOK), TAGAPAGLABA (LAUNDRYWOMAN), HOUSE CLEANER, TAGAPLANTSA (IN CHARGE OF CLOTHES IRONING), TAGAHUGAS NG MGA PINGGAN (DISHWASHER) ATBP."

Worse, she further confessed to this herein journalist/ paralegal officer: "AT GINAGAWA PA AKO NA CAREGIVER NA RIN PO SA NANAY NIYA (THE SUPPOSEDLY EMPLOYER WHO'S NAME IS IN THE CONTRACT) NA MAYSAKIT."

Worst of all, much further she exposed this blatant breach in her sacred job contract, "AT ANDITO RIN PO ANG ISANG PAMILYA NA KAPATID NG EMPLOYER KO NA APAT (4) ANG MGA ANAK."

Indeed our hapless Kababayan had fallen in the hands of a conscienceless employer because she had been reportedly deprived of eight (8) hours sleep as she complained, "Isa (1) hanggang dalawang (2) oras lang po ang tulog ko dito. Malapit na po bumigay ang katawan ko."

Asked if she had been allowed to take a rest during the day's work, here is her response, "Wala pong pahinga dito."

Asked if she's given a day off per every week, she replied, "Wala rin po akong day off."

Also farther asked if she had been provided her own private room in the abode of her employer's mother, her reply, "Wala po ka akong sariling kuwarto. Sa sala po ako natutulog sa tapat po ng pintuan na daanan kung kaya nadadaanan o nahahakbangan habang natutulog."

And there, she also shared her traumatic experiences as she had been a victim of sexual harassment. Yes, she had been in fact, repeatedly sexually assaulted as she narrated, "Yong pamangkin po ng employer ko ipinapakita niya po sa akin ang kabastusan niya, nagmamasturbate po siya sa may kusina kapag alam niyang nandoon ako at kung nagtatagal ako doon. Sinisilipan din po niya ako sa C.R. kapag naliligo ako. Apat (4) na beses na po nangyari kaya natatakot po ako kung mgtatagal pa po ako dito. Manyakis siya at mapapatay pa nila ako dito."

She had been eating only leftover food as she is pitifully treated merely as a slave as she confessed, "Hindi po, isang beses lang po nila ako bigyan ng pagkain sa loob ng isang araw. Sa tuwing kukuha ako ng tinapay nagagalit sila. Minsan po 'yung tira nila kinakain ko."

She as well had been hugely threatened, "Tinatakot nila ako na magbabayad daw po ako ng twenty five thousand Saudi Riyals (25,000 SR) sapagka't nagsabi po ako na gusto ko nang umalis at pumunta ng agency para magpalipat ng employet pero tinatakot ako. Ipapapulis daw po ako pag hindi ko po binayaran ung 25,000 SR na ginastos nila ss akin."

When confronted with question if she already had properly informed and reported her predicament to those concerned, she said, "Opo, nakailang beses na po ako nagsumbong sa parehong agency ko pero hindi po ako pinapansin kahit man lang mailipat ako sa iba. C Mam Shayne Reyes, c Sir Mustafa Yasien 'yang mga 'yan po ang mga pinagsumbungan ko nung unang araw December 15, 2019 hanggang ngaun po kinukulit ko po sila pero wala silng ginagawa para tulungan ako."

Up to this date, she complained, "Wala po silang ginawang action."

Asked what is it she wants, "Gusto ko na lang po umuwi ng Pilipinas. Baka mamatay lang po ako dito kawawa naman po mga anak ko maliliit pa sila kung mawawalan na ng ina."

Her ardent appeal, "Nananawagan ako sa mga sangay ng gobyerno na may kakayahan magpauwi ng mga katulad kong ofw na hindi pinalad sa mga amo. Kay President Duterte, tulungan po nyo akong makauwi, kay Sir Raffy Tulfo, tulungan nyo po ako hindi ko na po kaya dito."

She begs, "Sana matulungan nyo po akong makauwi at makahanap ng trabaho para sa mga anak ko. Maawa po kayo sa akin. Apat po anak ko maliliit pa po sila. Nagpunta po ako dito sa Saudi para mapag-aral ko mga anak ko at maipagawa ang bahay namin kaso hindi po ako pinalad sa amo ko."
