Trump recently removed the Clean Water Act which protects America’s streams and wetlands. It has been said to “be the biggest loss of clean water protection the country has ever seen.” What this means is Trump is trying to roll back all the environmental laws and rules that have been in place since the 70’s and 80’s and through to the Obama administration, stripping away the health protections that have been put in place for the safety of the American citizens. The Clean Water Act was put in place to protect the natural waters in this country without that protection businesses can go back to dumping whatever sludge and toxins they desire into the countries drinking supply.  According to the EPA 94% of Arizona’s waterways and 89% of Nevada’s could lose protection. Not only does this effect the citizens water supply it also put the lives of plants and animals at risk who rely on the fresh water in our streams and waterways. This would be a huge step in the wrong direction for the environment and the American people. Our Earth is already in a critical state, our global temperature is rising which means rising sea levels which in turn means more severe storms and weather, fires, droughts and floods. It is time for We the People to stand up for our country, stand up for our world, because once Earth is destroyed we have no where else to go.
