私たちは、2011.3.11の東日本大震災当時、福島県双葉郡浪江町の津島地区で暮らしていました。ザ！鉄腕DASH！（日本テレビ）の「DASH村」があった場所です。

 At the time of the Great East Japan Earthquake on March 11, 2011, we were living in the Tsushima District of Namie Town, Futaba County, Fukushima Prefecture, where “DASH Village” of a TV program “The! Tetsuwan DASH!” (Nippon Television Network Corporation) was located.

　震災により原発が爆発したことで、津島地区の全域が高濃度の放射性物質によって汚染され、全住民が避難を強いられました。

 When the nuclear power plant exploded as a result of the earthquake and tsunami, the entire Tsushima area was contaminated by highly radioactive materials, and all residents were forced to evacuate.

　そして、現在もなお、津島地区は除染がされておらず、高レベルの放射線量が検出されるため、国によって帰還が禁止されています。

 And even today, Tsushima area has not been decontaminated and is banned by the government from returning to the area because of the high levels of radiation being detected.

　震災から10年経た今でも、誰一人として、ふるさとの我が家に許可なく立ち入ることができないのです。

 Even now, ten years after the disaster, no one is allowed to enter their home without permission.

　私たちは、原発事故前の美しいふるさとを取り戻すべく、被告国・東京電力に対し、津島地区全域の除染を求め、裁判をしています。

　In order to restore the beautiful hometown before the nuclear accident, we are suing the government and Tokyo Electric Power Company (“TEPCO”) for decontamination of the entire Tsushima area.

　しかし、被告国・東京電力は、自らの責任を否定し、除染をすることについても拒否しています。このような被告の姿勢は、絶対に認めることはできません。

　However, the defendants, the government and TEPCO, deny their responsibility and refuse to decontaminate the area.  Such attitude of the defendants are absolutely unacceptable.

　私たちの裁判は、2021年7月30日に判決を迎えます。

　Our case is going to be decided on July 30, 2021.
