We need Highways England to take immediate action in implementing measures to prevent closure of the Orwell Bridge, Ipswich.

Allow cars to continue to travel over the bridge in windy conditions, with a potential speed limit if deemed necessary

Take measures to allow high sided vehicles to use the bridge in windy conditions, with a speed limit if deemed necessary

To add parapets to the bridge to reduce winds

These measures are relatively simple to implement and would prevent the gridlock created in Ipswich whilst allowing freight that the country is dependant upon to move freely through the county.
