لقد لاحظ الكثيرون منا الحالة المزرية للحيوانات بحديقة البلفدير المشهورة في مدينة تونس العاصمة 

نناشد السلطات الاهتمام بهذا الموضوع, و أن تعيد لتلك الحيوانات اعتبارها ككائنات حية و مكونات أساسية في كوكبنا

سواء كان ذلك سوء معاملة مقصودا أو مجرد إهمال, فللحيوانات حق منطقي في أن تحترم حقوقها و حاجياتها, فمن أهم ما تحتاج إليه تلك الكائنات هو التواجد في بيئتها الطبيعية. 

من غير الإنساني إبقاء الحيوانات في حديقة البلفدير معروضة أمام الوافدين على المكان وراء القضبان في أقفاص صغيرة مقارنة بحجمها أو بحاجتها للانطلاق في فضاء يسع قطعانا من بني جنسها, كالطيور و السنوريات و الدببة .

تذكرون حتما حادثة التمساح الذي رجمه أحد المتفرجين بالحجارة حتى تهشم رأسه . بعض زوار الحديقة أيضا يشكلون تهديدا لحياة الحيوانات , علما و أن كل أشكال الرقابة و الزجر معدومة في المكان.

Nous avons été plusieurs à avoir remarqué l'état terrible des animaux au parc zoologique du Belvédère, Tunis .

Nous plaidons les autorités de bien vouloir se retourner vers cette affaire, et qu'ils considèrent ces animaux comme des êtres vivants et composantes fondamentales de notre planète. 

Qu'il s'agit d'une maltraitance ou de négligence, les animaux ont des droits "logiques" au respect de leur vie et de leurs besoins. Ils ont certainement besoin de se trouver dans leurs milieux naturels, que d'être posés devant des spectateurs (parfois gênants et impolis, on se rappelle l'incident du crocodile) , derrière des cages où ils sont privés de toute liberté de jouir la vie dans un espace ouvert (forêt, désert, etc ..)

Many of us noticed the terrible condition of the animals at the Belvedere Zoological Park, Tunis.

We urge the authorities to turn to this matter, and that they consider these animals as living beings and fundamental components of our planet. 

Whether it is abuse or neglect, animals have "logical" rights to respect for their lives and needs. They certainly need to be in their natural environments than to be posed in front of spectators (sometimes annoying and rude, as we remember the crocodile incident), behind cages where they are deprived of all freedom to enjoy life in an open space (forest, desert, etc.).
