During the pandemic, a majority of the essential workers had to go to work with little guarantee of safety. Of those essential workers, some had to take public transit everyday, further risking exposure to Covid-19. While the benefit during the early stages of the pandemic was temporarily free CTA fare, I believe that all essential workers should have a permanent benefit for risking their lives to save lives. 

Tomorrow is when CTA fare goes back to full fare. However, it would be nice if essential workers were able to apply for a special CTA pass that allowed them to have reduced fare.
