After experiencing 4 days homeless on the streets of London I realised regardless of how hard you work to make money to get somewhere to sleep and take yourself off the streets there are no hostels that will take you in without a form of identification. Trying to better your life and progress your situation is impossible without ID and so the cycle continues and homeless individuals are never able to get a home. In order to have ID you need a proof of address which homeless people do not have therefore homlessness will proceed to be an unresolvable issue. I want to make a change and offer the homeless population some validation of identity that they can provide in these situations so that there is a way out for them. There are so many homeless people working extremely hard to better their lives and unfortunately can’t do so unless we can offer this in the UK. It is the best thing we as a population can offer our homeless people.
