The on-going water transition battle between Cave Creek and Carefree has been widely reported. However, what has not been disclosed is the cost of this transition - both in real dollars and in the destruction of the Sonoran Desert.

Everyone will pay through higher monthly water bills and more businesses leaving our town discouraged with the continuing construction traffic disruptions.  Every time anyone drives into the Town of Carefree, we will be welcomed by an industrial water tank mounded over by a massive pile of dirt instead of our once lovely untouched Sonoran Desert view.

Carefree has other options but they refuse to explore them. We can ensure every Carefree resident has clean and affordable water without destroying the entrance to our town or disrupting business traffic. Help us stop the Carefree Town Council from destroying the Sonoran Desert and further increasing our water rates. Please let the Council know you oppose their current water transition plan and putting a water tank at the entrance to Carefree.
