The indigenous peoples of eastern Nigeria are demanding separation from Nigeria via a peaceful referendum as they have no cultural religious or social similarities between them and the rest of the Nigerian union especially as the islamisation and fulanisation policies of the government of Nigeria is threatening to wipe out the indigenous population and replacing them with fulanis from west Africa. 

Referendum as has been repeatedly conducted in the past in Nigeria is now required urgently to ascertain if the indigenous populations of the eastern region still want to be part of the Nigerian union or become a separate entity. 

The future of our land and that of our children depends critically on our being allowed to determine our future by way of this referendum so we can live and practice our religion culture and way of life freely in a state built on the foundations of equity justice and fairness .
