If you try to make a thread about a classic movie or a genre that is not superhero related then it will be buried by ten posts related to the same tweet a celebrity made. A separate film board will not have trouble finding passionate mods who enjoy watching older movies. This board is not likely to be filled with troublemakers and would be a prime target for advertisers such as the criterion channel and other classic movie distributors and platforms. /tv/ is far too broad as is.
