Open Letter to the Home Office (Email sent 23 July 2020) Somehow Became FOI Request

Dear Supporters,

In my previous post of 24 July 2020 [Link], I posted an open letter to the Home Office (emailed 23 July 2020) with 11 queries. It somehow became a FOI request. The FOI request was then cancelled with the reason given that I already had another FOI request of 3 July 2020. You can read the correspondence here [Link]. I have requested the FOI to give a full response to my 11 queries, by 2 September 2020.

The FOI request I raised on 3 July 2020 can be viewed here [Link].

I received 'Subject Access Request' of my file from the Home Office on 3 August 2020.

The allegation of the Home Office claiming that "in 2005 they had informed me in writing, that British Overseas Citizens who do not hold any other citizenship or nationality can register for British Citizenship only if they have not renounced or voluntarily relinquished their previous citizenship.", could not be found in the 'Subject Access Request' of my file.

I am expecting the FOI to provide a full response to my 11 queries by 2 September 2020.

Thank you for your continue support.

Hope you all have a good summer holidays. Stay safe.

Best regards,
Liew
