A failure by pub landlords to cancel pub rents during lockdown and beyond when a pub has no income is COMPLETELY UNFAIR.

EiGroup plc have offered to DEFER rent which will result in a huge debt for the publicans and is very likely to cause pubs to close. My ‘local’ The Three Horseshoes in Comberton Cambridge is the last remaining pub in the village and its loss would be DEVASTATING for the community.

Around 20 landlords have already agreed to cancel rents for which they should be thanked. Plus very recently Greene King (one of the largest pub landlords) have agreed to a 90% rent reduction which is great.
