In 2020 I became a victim of sexual harassment in the work place. The same perpetrator had been harassing and targeting me for months, making comments about my body. When he first started he pulled me into a room and was aggressive and shouted at me so I reported this as I felt uncomfortable and unsafe. Other females in my work place were reporting back the things he had been saying and done nothing about this, I eventually got the strength to do something about this when he directly came to me and made numerous comments about my body and constantly asking about my sex life, he had also harassed other women in the workplace. When I finally came forward and told HR I was assured something would be done and I had nothing to worry about as this was his 4th complaint against him... no action was taken. I was so traumatised from this, whilst the perpetrator kept their job and got off scot free. I am not the only woman or young girl who has faced or is currently facing this, so many of us have and no justice has come of this.

I am calling for our government and work places to do more to tackle and stop the sexual harassment problem in the work place, to support victims and not victim blame. I believe every company should have to do sexual harassment awareness, talking through to male and female employees what sexual harassment is, how we can spot it and if you do how you can report this and support a victim. For so long we have lived under these old fashion views how women have to behave or act and how it’s our fault is these things happen. It ends now and I need YOUR HELP! So please help me so we can put an end to this disease.
