As communities across the nation stand up and speak out against racial injustices, we, as a community have been silent. The Cy-fair community is a diverse and heavily populated area with voices and stories to be heard. Racial injustice against African Americans in this country is long overdue and we, Cy-fair community members, will not stand for it. We wish to come together and use our voices and actions to stand with the Black community at this time. Not just today, but every day. We would like to emphasize our support for the Black Lives Matter movement through a peaceful protest. We want to urge the local police departments, Berry Center administration, and Cy-fair district administration to support and aid us throughout this movement. We would like to use the Berry Center Stadium and surrounding perimeter to host a peaceful protest including an assembly, march, and speeches. However, we will respect any outcome we are met with.
