Black Content Creators On YouTube Must Be Compensated For Ad Sales Like Everyone Else
Black Content Creators On YouTube Must Be Compensated For Ad Sales Like Everyone Else
Why this petition matters
The Courts have designated Google's, YouTube Social Media Service as a "Platform" as opposed to a "Publisher". The difference being as a Platform-that only provides a "tool" for Publishers to share their unique Copyrighted Content-YouTube is not LIBEL for any claims resulting from content uploaded to their Platform.
That said, any REVENUE generated from the placement of Ads on Copyrighted Content would be the property of the Copyright Holder and NOT YouTube or Google yet this is not the case, you tube earned $80 Billion Dollars on Ad Sales in 2019(Forbes) off of Content they claim not to own.
Its estimated that up to 7.3% of all "Digital Media" AD Sales, go to African-American Markets(Ad Age). That would mean 5,550 African-American YouTube Content Creators earned $5.84 Billion Dollars of which we haven't received one dime.
YouTube claims our Content is deemed; "Not Advertiser Friendly" in spite of $5.84 Billion Dollars in Ad Sales.
This petition is asking Google Inc. and Susan Wojcicki(CEO of YouTube) to stop this practice of exploiting Black Content Creators without compensation for our Copyrighted work. Other groups have been paid for their content. #BlackYouTube RBRN
