Despues de años, firmando y compartiendo diariamente todo tipo de causas para los demás, ahora soy yo quien necesita ayuda. No quise que llegara a esto, me siento humiliada y frustrada pero no veía otra alternativa.

¡Mi casero quiere desahuciarme en 9 días!

¡Ayer me dieron los papeles de la denuncia, es oficial; o le pago los 1,135€ que le debo, o me deshucia en 9 días!

Llevo 25 años viviendo en éste pueblo y 10 años en este piso en cuestion. (Desde el 17 de Diciembre de 2010 aunque solo me hizo contrato y me dio recibos desde el 1 de Octubre del 2016.) He aguantado años de lluvia entrando por la pared de la cocina que acabo con cuatro televisores míos por la humedad, 3 años de infestacíon por cucarachas, tres allanamientos de morada de los vecinos, porque las ventanas no cerraban; al final me dío un ictus del estres. Tuve suerte y no me dejó secuelas aparte de un cicatriz de 6mm en mi cerebro, pero ahora tengo que tomar una pastilla todos los días. Como no arreglaba las cosas, las iba arreglando yo, mientras pagaba también. Estos son solo unas pocas problemas que he tenido con el piso pero no quiero aburriros.

Despues de años de acoso y temas de salud, iba a remontar por fin éste año. Lo tenía todo convenido para empezar a trabajar en un Hotel a partir de finales de Marzo, pero cómo ya empezaron los problemas con el Corona Virus y los turistas extranjeros no llegaron, el Hotel ní abrió. Iba a poder seguir pagandole mientras buscaba otro piso para finales de Septiembre cuando se acabo la prolongación del contrato.

Yo ya tenía solicitada la RMI (Renta Minima Insercíon) desde Abril de 2019, pero no me llegaba asi que me encontré sin ingresos y sin trabajo y sin la posibilidad de comprar comida, mucho menos pagar el alquiler, luz y agua. Y encima confinada en un piso que aunque tiene azotea no se les permita a los inquilinos usarlo. Además que yo tengo el único piso (de los cuatro en el bloque) sin ventanas exteriores.

En Junio en pleno Estado de Alarma me llegó un burofax del abogado de mí casero denunciandome por falta de pago y solicitando mi desalojo. A la semana gracias a Asunto Sociales (y como ya había comentado a su hija unos días antes del burofax) ya empece de pagar de nuevo gracias a una ayuda economica que cubro un mes y dos facturas de luz. Le contesté con una carta de cuatro paginas, que por favor tuviera un poco de paciencia ya que en breve iba a poder pagarle más y todos los meses y que por favor que me dejara un ultimo año hasta el final de Septiembre 2021 para que tuviera tiempo de recuperarme economicamente y buscar otro piso donde vivir. Por lo visto la ignoró.

En Junio solicité el IMV (Ingreso Minimo Vital) y aunque saben la situacion y tienen todos los documentos incluso más que los necesarios aun no me han aprobado. Afortunadamente gracias a la insistencia de Asuntos Sociales (de nuevo) me aprobabron el RMI en Julio, solo que a la vez de un año, me lo concedieron por 5 meses por el Covid. Éste mes se acaba. Llevo estos 5 meses dando el RMI y hasta la ayuda extra para comida (del Ayuntamiento) a mí casero y he recuperado 2 meses atrasados; pero no lo suficiente y ahora se corta la ayuda y me deshucian a mí y a mí perrito de 12 años J&B en 9 días; si no pago la totalidad de 1,435€. La IMV no se cuando me lo aprobarán pero ya se ve que este mes no, si no estaria avisada.

Mí casero tiene varios inmeubles y vive en una chalet en el campo, pero por lo visto le falta compasion.

La unica manera de 'pararle los pies' y asegurar que no seamos otros 'sin techos' es de pagar todo lo debido antes de 9 días.

Que siga con la nevera vacia un tiempo más puedo y por supuesto sin comprar cualquer otro tipo de producto, ropa etc. Pero tengo que pagar la casa cómo sea y YA!

My landlord wants to evict me in 9 days!

On the 3rd I was served the papers, it's official; either I pay him the 1,135€ that I owe him or I will be evicted in 9 days!

I've been living in this town for 25 years and 10 of those years in this apartment. (Since the 17th of December 2010, although he only made me a contract and started giving me rent receipts since the 1st of October 2016.) I've put up with years of rain coming down the kitchen wall which killed four of my televisions because of the humidity, 3 years of coakroach infestation, three breakins by the neighbours, because the windows wouldn't close; in the end I had a stroke from the stress. I was lucky and the only after-effect I have is a 6mm scar on my brain, but now I have to take a pill everyday for the rest of my life. As he wouldn't fix things, I did, while I was paying him too. These are just a few issues I've had with the apartment but I don't want to bore you.

After years of harrassment and health issues, this year I was going to get back on track. I had it all arranged to start work in a local Hotel towards the end of March, however as the Covid-19 problems began just before and the foreign tourists didn't come, the Hotel didn't even open. I would have been paying him while looking for another apartment for the end of September when the contract expired.

I had already requested the RMI (Minimum Wage Insertion) since April 2019, but as it wasn't coming I found myself with no job, no income and without the means to buy food let alone rent, electricity and water. To make matters worse, through lockdown I was stuck inside without access to the roof, as he's the only landlord who doesn't let his tenants have access to the roof. I have the only apartment (of the four in the block) with no outside windows.

In June in the first State Of Alarm I received the burofax from my landlords lawyer suing me for lack of payment and requesting my eviction. A week later thanks to Social Services (and as I'd already told his daughter a few days before the burofax) I began to pay again. I paid a month of rent and an electricity bill. I replied with a four page letter, explaining my situation and asking him please to have patience as soon I would be able to pay him more and monthly. I also asked him to please allow me one last year until the end of September 2021 so that I'd have time to recover financially and find another apartment in which to live. Apparently he ignored it.

Also in June I requested the IMV (Spanish Universal Basic Income) and although they know the situation and have all the documents, even more than necessary, I still haven't been approved. Fortunately thanks again to the insistence of the Social Services, the RMI was finally approved in July, however instead of a year, due to Covid-19 they approved it for less; 5 months. This seems rather backwards but there you go. This month it ended. In these last 5 months I've been giving him all of the RMI money, even the extra food money from the Town Hall, so I caught up on two months of back rent. Apparently that's not good enough for him and now that aid is over and my 12 year old dog J&B and I are being evicted in 9 days unless I pay the total of 1,135€. I don't know when my request for the IMV will be approved, but not this month as I would have already been notified.

My landlord has a few blocks of flats and lives in a mansion in the countryside, I'm not hurting him and I'm paying him; but apparently he lacks compassion.

The only way to put a stop to this and to not become homeless is to pay the debt in full within the week.

I don't mind staying with an empty fridge a little longer and of course without buying anything else but I have to pay the apartment now!

We´re back to State Of Alarm here for the second time with curfews and lockdown is looming over us again; jobs (especially in tourism which is my field) just aren't available.

If Covid-19 hadn't happened or the IMV had been approved in the last 5 months, I wouldn't have needed your help!
