We have a Severe shortage of SIA licenced door supervisors in the uk , this issue needs addressed immediately ! The shortage is being caused in part by the increase in training requirements and costs  implemented by the SIA  at the worst possible time. This is hitting many individuals and businesses financially . We propose that the SIA hold off temporarily on the requirement for first aid training ( extra cost ) the additional modules  and days training ( more extra cost and time involved ) there should also be an increased urgency to ensure that individuals that have passed the course receive badges in as short a time as possible.

In addition we propose a temporary reduction in the cost of an SIA badge as well as an enforced and regulated minimum salary in keeping with the risks undertaken by licenced operatives.
