The Document that Ultimately Decides | Here's What Needs to Be Changed

What the staff inside of some of these institutions is doing is not allowing ANY of their incarcerated to marry, and that's just not right.

According to the conversations I've had with the loves ones I've spoken with thus far, they have no idea of the specific steps that need to be taken in order to even get married within the facilities.

(As referenced in the photo attached to this update) We understand the facilities are trying to protect the good of the public, also the good order and safety of their personnel. I also understand that there are some marriages that don't make sense and may occur to try to defy prison rules and authority. I am familiar with what can happen.

However, with what occurred at Bennettsville FCI, a member of facility staff allegedly denied ALL requests for marriage, by refusing to notarize signatures on Marriage Affidavits without informing those who needed the acts carried out of the process involved in order to make it actual. It took me and now 130 individuals (and rising) through the 'Notary for the Incarcerated' petition for that individual's case to be re-investigated. The loved one of that incarcerated individual was FINALLY given the proper procedure in order to request a marriage, when, if communicated efficiently by the Bennettsville facility staff, the process would have gone more smoothly.

Now, let's work on the rest of the facilities....
