今作、アサシンクリード ヴァルハラでは、多くのゴア表現が規制されることとなりましたが、事前告知の無かった流血エフェクトの規制までもがアジア全域で行われ、炎上する事態となっています。この規制により、本来のゲーム体験が損なわれ、今作の売りであるアクションの爽快感が消え去ってしまいました。この規制内容を発売前に意図的に隠していたならば、詐欺的な売り方であると言わざるを得ません。UBIソフトはこの事態を重く受け止め、公式声明を発表すべきだと考えます。その上で規制解除パッチの配布を要求します。（例えば、プレイステーションネットワークで配布するパッチにクレジットカード認証をつければ、それだけで成人証明になると思います）

しかし、その内容は「日本で発売できなくなる可能性があった」という非常に納得しづらいものでした。なぜ過去作や他社の商品では普通に行われている表現を今作で行うと日本で発売できなくなるのでしょうか。声明は出ましたが、今後も規制解除パッチの要求を続けていこうと思います。署名してくださった方々はありがとうございました。
