This petition is requesting more minority history covered in our history classes. Over my years at Spring Ford I have noticed a lack of POC history and through talking to many Spring Ford students,they have experienced the same thing. In sight of recent events it is very important that our history classes cover the history of Native Americans, African Americans, Asian Americans, Pacific islanders,Hispanics and Latinos, the lgbtq+ community, and more. This might seem difficult to suddenly change the curriculum, but seeing that history is crucial to make sure we do not repeat the same mistakes as our ancestors. We encourage students and parents of students to sign.
