We fully support Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley (MA) and members of the Congressional Black Caucus proposing a bill "End Qualified Immunity Act" that will stop cops guilty of murdering fellow American citizens from walking free without consequence.

Time and time again, cops are guilty of depriving American citizens of our constitutional liberties & even our lives and they face NO penalty. No accountability means the offense continues unchecked. 

The current Qualified Immunity Act protects cops, who even commit murder, by making it impossible for the victims to receive justice. The act requires that the victim proves their constitutional rights were violated AND then they must prove where a previous court ruling or law ruled that a cop was convicted in a situation very similar to what happened to them in order for the cop to be held accountable.

This act literally removes the protections of our CONSTITUTIONAL rights. It says even if a violation of your rights has occurred the cop is still protected from being held accountable because there has never been a prior court ruling established where we held a cop accountable for the same offense.

Taxpayers pay for these million dollar lawsuits annually. 

It's time to hold cops accountable for their actions and to give the victims of these crimes the justice they deserve.
