There are three bare minimum steps that the Australian government can take towards real reconciliation with Indigenous Australians. After invading, slaughtering, and living rent-free on our stolen land, this is the least we can do. 

1. DESTROY THE FLAG

The Union Jack symbolises the Genocide Indigenous Australians suffered at the hands of the British Invasion. This land was stolen. So many lives were lost. As long as we fly this flag we can never begin to reconcile the pain and suffering that has been inflicted. This celebrates our colonial past, it’s doesn’t reconcile it.

2. DESTROY THE ANTHEM

Advance Australia Fair paints a narrative that is simply false. We are not young. We are ancient. We are sacred. Our country is home to the oldest continuing culture in the world. We are not free. Indigenous people are Incarcerated at disgusting rate. Keeping this anthem pushes the story of a peaceful settlement, where we are all equal. When the truth is it was an invasion and Indigenous Australians have continued to pay the price. We must tell the truth about our history if we are ever going to be able to reconcile it.

3. DESTROY "AUSTRALIA DAY" 

January 26 represents a day of suffering and pain. We cannot come together and celebrate this country if we never educate the nation about the truth. This is a day of mourning. This is a day of sorrow.
