Kimberly Fattorini was just 30-years old when her lifeless body was discovered by paramedics “lying supine on the floor with no vital signs” on July 21, 2017, at her friend Monica Maass’ West Hollywood apartment.

In her initial statement to first responders, Maass claimed that after their night out together it was just her and Kimberly that returned to her apartment. She went on to allege that Fattorini “had a history of illegal drug use with cocaine and MDMA being her substances of choice”.

It's since transpired that the pair was accompanied by a man named "J.P. Castro" and ex-NFL player Shawne Merriman, who they had been partying with earlier at club promoter Elias Wehbe's house—both men had disappeared before first responders arrived at the scene.

Kimberly's body was discovered with her jeans unzipped and down around her hips (appearing as if somebody had attempted to dress her in a hurry), her Louboutin shoes were also missing (it's claimed that Maass stole them from her dead friend).

Despite Kimberly's parents insisting their daughter DID NOT have a history of drug and alcohol abuse, the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department chose to believe Maass' testimony, and took a total of just SEVEN photos at the scene of death.

Fattorini's parents have filed a wrongful death complaint against Merriman, Wehbe, Castro, and Maass—amongst other plaintiffs—and within the attached exhibits are screenshots of texts sent during the hours leading up to, and after, their daughter's death—including:

  • Messages from Kimberly to Wehbe claiming Merriman had dropped GHB in her drink—as time progresses her messages become ever-increasingly incoherent.
  • Messages between Wehbe and Castro, including one from Wehbe inviting Castro over and telling him "These 4 girls are hot as [F*ck]. Only one is weak putting her to sleep tho. Coke dealer can bang her. He gets the scum”
  • Messages between Merriman and Wehbe, during which Merriman says he'll "take" Kimberly and that he's "not in the mood for games"
  • A message from [REDACTED NAME] to Wehbe claiming "Shawne killed her ass, what a [f**king] idiot. That dumb ass been drugging girls for years."
  • A message from Wehbe to [REDACTED NAME] where he claims his "cop buddy" had told him it's not a good idea for him to talk to the homicide department "LOL" and that he's "going to let [his] attorney handle it"

In the autopsy report that was released a year after Kim's death, it was revealed she had high enough levels of GHB in her system to render somebody conscious for days—and the autopsy was performed two days after she passed away. (GHB has a half-life of 30 to 50 minutes, meaning a single dose is barely detectable in the blood within 2 1/2 to four hours, and can't be traced in urine past a 12-hour window.)

The coroner also noted Fattorini had "contusions" on both of her legs, but didn't take any photos of the injuries, and didn't perform a rape kit, in addition to not retrieving any relevant samples that could later be used to determine if a sexual assault had occurred.

The coroner ruled Kimberly's cause of death as being an "accidental overdose" and stated as fact, on page one of his report that she had a history of drug use (despite having found no evidence of that in any of her organs or body parts during the autopsy he performed.)

There are numerous other young women who claim to have been plied with cocaine and alcohol by Wehbe at his V.IP. club nights, then escorted to parties, "roofied" and sexually assaulted or raped. Amongst those claims are allegations directly against Merriman.

CelebMagazine has contacted the LA Sheriff’s Department with a formal request submitted under the Public Records Act, asking to be granted access to all investigative files and photos relating to the case—showing how police investigated the incident and who was interviewed, particularly in relation to statements given by Merriman, Maass, and Wehbe.

Despite numerous repeated requests the LASD has yet to comply.

From Maass’ completely false initial statement she gave, to the lack of investigation into Fattornini's death, to the coroner’s conduct and ruling, and last but definitely not least, the involvement of Wehbe, Merriman, and “J.P. Castro” in the events leading up to Kimberly’s death, there are glaring red flags all throughout.

We request that the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department immediately re-open the case to ensure no other women have to suffer the same tragic and senseless ending as Fattoroini, or be drugged, trafficked and sexually assaulted or raped.

Please sign the petition and share on all your platforms and with all your contacts—let's make sure there's finally #JusticeForKim
