Egerton Ryerson was a man notoriously known for his mass contribution towards the colonization, assimilation, and cultural genocide of the Indigenous Peoples of Canada. A movement has been started to remove the Egerton Ryerson statue which sits in the heart of Ryerson University's campus; however, what shall be the replacement of this statue? Well, perhaps a person who has touched the hearts of many, and who has fought to keep the world at balance. This is why this petition hereby proposes that the Egerton Ryerson statue be replaced with a statue of Avatar Aang. Master of all four elements (Water, Earth, Fire, Air) and the bridge between the spirit and non-spirit world. Known for his great triumph in defeating the Fire Lord of the Fire Nation following 100 years of war to free the world of the Fire Lords' wrath, and once again restore peace and balance.
