During the past five years, more than 10,000 individuals were assisted with permanent housing by the Human Services Campus (HSC)  which also leads a network of 20 coordinated entry points for single adults in the Valley. In 2019, more than 4,000 individuals accessed services at the other access points and did not come to the Human Services Campus.

But even if they did, where would they sleep?

One of the biggest challenges is a lack of shelter beds. And, we know that a shelter bed is among the first vital steps to connect people to services to help them off the streets.

Expanded regional solutions are the ultimate goal, but we can’t wait. And neither can the 800-1000 people on the campus every day. Men and women living on the streets right now need and want help and people are dying while they wait.
