Even before the Covid-19 Restrictions, Loch Sport was still a vulnerable Township in so far as Policing is concerned. We were lucky enough to have had a "full time" Police Officer based in Town at the Local Station.

Since the restrictions have come into action, our local Station is now unmanned and, our nearest Police assistance is in Sale, some 45 minutes drive away.

We understand that the need for resources to be placed where needed and that the health and safety of the Officers on duty are of concern but, we are in an area with NO known cases, our township has been the subject of several incidents of crime and non compliance of the Covid-19 restrictions and there is no way to get the Police here within a reasonable time frame.

We also have a large amount of homes owned by people who are not able to visit due to lock down restrictions and, these homes are vulnerable for break-ins and or damage.

With a growing population and a large elderly community and also as a benefit of the Surrounding Communities,  we would like for whoever is responsible for the decision making, to re-establish full time manning of the Loch Sport Police Station as soon as possible.
