Due to the covid-19 crisis many university students have had to teach themselves over 1/3 of the content for the remainder of the course. With many mid-terms and finals being completely formatted differently or not being done at all. With no option to reduce tuition fees and many professors simply telling students to just read the textbook there should be an opportunity for students to decided whether they would like to keep their letter grade that has been assigned or do pass/fail as the University of Manitoba has decided to implement. 

That being said the students of the university of Winnipeg are asking that the academic board and Dr James Curry Vice President for academics hear the students out and have the opportunity to decide which grade to implement.
