Bohemia Interactive is a Czech game developer who has a history of putting out quality content, listening to their playerbase and putting the well being of their players before profits. Recently BI had announced a new system of community created Downloadable Content packs (DLC) while this goes to show how committed BI is to working with their community the implementation of these DLC packs differs from their normal DLC policy , would splinter the community and set a bad precedent for future games.

BI has long been regarded as an example of offering downloadable content to players in a responsible manner that benefits the entire community. Under their current DLC policy, players who have not bought the content may still play on servers that use DLC content and while they are unable to pick up DLC items, enter DLC vehicles or use DLC specific maps or missions they may use the content under certain circumstances with watermarking and terrain assets are available for all of the community to use on other maps.

The first creator DLC titled "Global Mobilization" has been announced for release on April 29th but differs from all other DLC since it will have a hard paywall, players who do not own this content will not be able to play on servers using this content, utilize the content in any way and terrain assets will remain blocked behind a paywall. This risks fragmenting the community who will be split between players who have this DLC and those who do not,  reducing the use of this content to only a handful of servers, especially as almost all of the content is available through different free modifications and will reduce the usefulness of the content and lastly this sets a bad precedent for future BI titles as it moves away from their policy of implementing DLC in a responsible and ethical manner.

I have a deep love for BI and on top of owning the Apex version of Arma 3 I have bought all the DLC expansions as they were released partially to help the developers but also to show my support of their awesome DLC policy. If this DLC were to follow the normal policy I would buy it immediately but myself and many other players have shown concerns with this break from the normal policy and cannot buy this content in good conscience.

You are showing your concern at the implementation of this new content and asking BI to make this release in-line with the other DLC they have released, furthermore you are telling BI their current system works fine and that this plan of action risks breaking from their normal policies and may hinder their reputation as an example of ethical downloadable content implementation in the gaming community.
